Loan Coordinator

Location: Clayton, MO
Reports to: Michael Eaton

Summary

Prepares and executes funding of loan packages and documentation in accordance with establishment guidelines and policies by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following (other duties may be assigned):

General

  • Interact with and serve as liaison between Credit Analysts, Loan Administration and Lenders.
  • Assist in organizing and monitoring work flow, establishing schedules among departments.
  • Create policies and informal procedures as necessary to address lending function workflow and monitor adherence to the same.
  • Interact with Chief Lending Officer, Credit Manager, VP of Loan Administration, Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers to resolve policy and procedural questions.

Specific

Upon approval of a new/renewed loan, the Loan Coordinator will interact with the Lender, Credit Analyst, Credit Manager, Bank Counsel and Borrower when appropriate to compile, prepare and complete loan packages for the Loan Administration Department for documentation. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: ordering appraisals, title work, zoning reports, surveys and lien releases, completing due diligence by obtaining corporate entity documents, UCC searches, proof of insurance and tax payments. In addition, the Loan Coordinator is responsible for the management and review of received completed documents and loan closings when appropriate.

Additional tasks include:

  • Follow up on any Technical Exceptions cited regarding loan package;
  • Monitor and work with the Loan Administration department on pre-maturity reviews;
  • Drafting of standard letters requesting information from customer and provide information received to credit analysts for analysis;
  • Updating shared reports to track status of each loan;
  • Determining appropriate action and resolve situations not covered by standard documentation or funding procedures;
  • Assisting with the processing of construction loan funding, including receipt of required information from borrower and title company;
  • Monitor compliance to all funding procedures and credit approvals.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
